The principle
Widgets for KNX is designed so that your data never has to leave your control. The app joins your local KNXnet/IP network and encodes and decodes bus datapoints on the device itself. There is no backend server in the path, so there is nothing for us to store, sell or lose.
What we collect
Nothing that leaves your device. Specifically, the app does not require an account, does not ask for your email, and does not send analytics or telemetry to us or to any third party.
What stays on your device
Your configuration - the devices you define, their KNX group addresses, your room and device names, your scenes and widget layouts - is stored locally on your iPhone and, where you enable it, synced across your own Apple devices via your private iCloud account. We never receive a copy of it.

Network communication
The app communicates only with your KNXnet/IP router or interface over your local network, using standard KNX routing. It does not open connections to our servers to operate, because there are none. Any control you perform - from the app, a widget or the Apple Watch - travels directly to your bus.
Third parties
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple processes your purchase and may collect its own data under Apple’s privacy policy; we never see your payment details. Beyond Apple’s own platform services (such as iCloud sync, if you enable it), the app does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
Children
Widgets for KNX is a home-automation control app intended for general audiences and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Because the app’s local-only design is core to the product, any change that affected how your data is handled would be significant - and we’d call it out clearly.
